A Close Look at the New adidas alphabounce ams Silhouette

 In adidas, News

adidas has been running in the fast lane when it comes to footwear innovations. And while fans are still hyped on the expanding BOOST line and can’t wait to get their hands on the upcoming Iniki Runner, the next updated silhouette is already here: Aimed at the needs of running and cross-training, the adidas alphabounce ams emphasizes responsive energy return and flexibility in a futuristic-looking package.

Available in the US now with a $110 price tag in men’s and women’s versions, the shoe comes in two colorways: Core Black and Clear Grey. As indicated by the name, the alphabounce features BOUNCE midsole, supplemented by an adaptive FORGEDMESH upper for a close fit.

The alphabounce franchise debuted in 2016 and this is the first major technical update with engineered mesh in the upper. Continuing the style of the original, the upper features a muted all-over graphic inspired by adidas ARAMIS testing; a motion-capturing technology used in shoe development to capture the miniscule details of impact absorption in the foot during athletic performance.

For the release of the shoe, adidas tapped spoken word artist Gil Scott-Heron to perform “Running” in a 60-second video featuring top adidas athletes NFL cornerback Marcus Peters, MLB shortstop Carlos Correa, and NBA forward Justise Winslow:

Shop for the shoe on the adidas website and stay tuned for a navy blue colorway about to release soon. Also keep it locked to #alphabounce at @adidasrunning on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
