Le Coq Sportif has been known to celebrate its French heritage with stylish releases, including last year’s Made in France Collection. Now the brand with the rooster returns with the “Retro Affiches” Pack, rendering the LCS R1000, LCS R800, and Arthur Ashe in premium finishes with a nostalgic backstory.

The pack is a tribute to a magical era in French tourism: During the 1970s and 1980s, famous coastal towns across the country advertised their scenic beauty with elaborate tourist posters (or “Affiches” in French). Le Coq Sportif injects the colorways from these posters into the palette – including of-the-moment pastel colors – of the three shoes in the “Retro Affiches” Pack.

The pack’s LCS R1000 model pays tribute to the town of Saint-Tropez, and the poster for Le Lavandou influenced the palette for the LCS R800. The seaside resorts Arcachon and the Dune du Pyla reflect in the calm aqua color of the Arthur Ashe, replete with airy mesh openings in the upper.

The full poster art for each town is reproduced on the shoe’s collectors boxes as well as the tongues. All three models are crafted from premium nubuck and feature an aging effect on the outsole for added retro flair.

The Le Coq Sportif “Retro Affiches” Pack will release tomorrow, February 1, at select retailers including VCNTYTitolo and Afew.
