As you might know, the New Balance 1500 turns 30 this year. To celebrate this anniversary, the folks over at 43einhalb recently went on a trip through England with Flimby as the final destination.
But of course, the travel party didn’t set out emtpy-handed. In the trunk of their car, they carried 30 of the best 1500s ever made with them. First released back in 1989, the New Balance classic spawned amazing collaborations and fresh in-line releases alike over the past 30 years. That’s why the selection by 43einhalb includes both special projects like solebox, colette or Hanon collabs as well as GRs like last year’s “Robin Hood” reissue. Almost all of these sneakers share a common origin – which of course is NB’s Flimby factory. And on their way to that place, the 43einhalb crew snapped some amazing pics of their 30 favorites to give them the attention they deserve.
