We already gave you a close look at Puma’s new Tsugi Shinsei model in our current print issue of SNEAKERS mag. And since the term “tsugi” means “next” in Japanese, the German footwear brand keeps things moving forward with a new collab: In partnership with KITH, Puma is not only debuting the new silhouette in retail, but also dropping a limited “Kithstrike” edition at 150 pairs only.
As the latest Puma silhouette, the Tsugi Shinsei blends an innovative Ignite Foam midsole with a lightweight knit upper and a sockliner entry into a forward-looking lifestyle runner silhouette. The lacing system is equally progressive, directing the laces sideways along the tongue for a fresh-looking woven effect.
Poised for a release on Friday, April 14, the Puma x KITH Tsugi Shinsei drop consists of three colorways: Black, Triple White, and the Kithstrike version in a color blend inspired by classic aviator jackets with olive and a vibrant orange midsole. Check out the entire drop below in images provided by Tyler Mansour for KITH. Also note: The Kithstrike also comes replete with special edition packaging.
Speaking of packaging, Kith released 50 limited edition Japanese cereal boxes at its Kith Treats Brooklyn location in the run-up to the release. The boxes contain Japanese-themed cereal, and more importantly, tickets that guarantee customers a slot to buy the Tsugi Shinsei Kithstrike edition on Friday.
ThePuma x KITH Tsugi Shinsei Kithstrike version will be available only at Kith SoHo, Kith Brooklyn, and Kith.com with a $120 price tag. The Black and Triple White pairs will be available for $110 at Kith SoHo, Kith Brooklyn, Kith Miami, and Kith.com.
