5 Reasons to Check out the KangaROOS SS18 Collection
The team over at KangaROOS has been preparing a head-turning collection to welcome spring and summer 2018. Split into two drops, the release includes a whole bunch of different sneakers that all demonstrate the brand’s unique qualities.
We already gave you a first look at the COIL R-1 “Shiraz” as their first “Made in Germany” general release – but what else is in store? Here are 5 sneakers and 5 good reasons why you should check out the KangaROOS 2018 Spring / Summer Collection.

The Coil R-1 is one of the essential ROOS silhouettes and of course it’s included again in this year’s line-up. A blue suede upper features perforations on the toe box and side panels for ventilation and the comfy construction sits on the brand’s well-tried DYNACOIL sole.
The Omnirun actually was first seen in asphaltgold’s “Katz” & “Mouse” collab from 2016. Now the hybrid silhouette that combines the Omnicoil upper with an Ultimate mid- and outsole launches as a general release in this vibrant color make-up.
If the Ultimate Star OG reminds you of pure 90s steez, you’re not mistaking! This sneaker has never been re-released before, so the return of this runner in its original outfit is definitely one for the OG heads. Just look at that shape!
Another case of “long time no see”: after the 002 vanished without a trace a couple of years ago, the shoe is now back with new colors on the same good old silhouette.
For a design like this, there probably isn’t any other name that hits the nail on the head quite like “OG Runner”. This is another classic that now sees its first ever re-release in 2018 – and as a very special feature, no animal materials were used on the shoe’s upper.
